In 2024, Central Luzon saw a total of 126,684 new business name registrations (BNRs), reflecting a strong entrepreneurial spirit across the region. Bataan contributed 8,622 of these registrations, showing a steady growth in its local economy. Despite a more modest increase of 4.8%, the province plays a significant role in the region’s overall business development.
DTI Regional Director Edna Dizon highlighted the role of support programs like Negosyo Centers, entrepreneurial training, and financing assistance in fostering this growth. She praised the resilience of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and emphasized their crucial role in driving the local economy forward.
While Bulacan led the region with 44,985 registrations, followed by Pampanga and Nueva Ecija, Bataan’s 8,622 registrations reflect the province’s growing entrepreneurial activity.
The province’s steady increase points to a vibrant business environment with potential for further expansion. DTI continues to make business registration easier with both in-person services at Provincial Offices and Negosyo Centers, as well as an online registration platform. Entrepreneurs in Bataan can register through the website https://bnrs.dti.gov.ph, with various online payment options available for convenience.
With a commitment to fostering innovation and sustainability, DTI aims to strengthen partnerships with local government units and stakeholders to support entrepreneurship in Bataan. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to take advantage of the resources available to help their businesses thrive in a competitive environment.
